BATTERIES FREE
The free batteries of maintenance possess a
species of "labyrinth" that makes the same function of the valves of
the stamped batteries (VLRA), to make it difficult the exit of the
gases, making with that good part of these if condenses and returns to
the composition of the electrolyte.
The useful life of a free battery of maintenance of first line,
operating in regimen of fluctuation (as for example in no-breaks) is
of 2 the 3 years, being able to be shortened in function of the
following main factors: regimen, operating
temperature of recharge, depth of discharge, number of load
cycles/discharge.

STAMPED BATTERIES
The "stamped batteries" are most used nowadays
for stationary applications. The stamped battery uses silica
dioxide mixed the electrolyte of acid sulfurico in order to form a
firm composition, holding back the active element in permanent contact
with the plates of the battery. This type of batteries uses, as
one of the main components, a regulating valve of the chamber
pressure. Destined to alliviate the hydrogen excess produced
during the process of recharge of the element, the valve hinders that
the oxygen of the atmosphere is admitted in the chemical reaction. |
